Barcelona hoping to take a big step towards the La Liga title on Tuesday.
Barcelona travel to the city of Vitoria this week, as they meet Alavés in the 34th Matchday of the Spanish championship. The Catalans are only six points away from retaining their La Liga crown.
A win for Ernesto Valverde's team against Alavés, and with a defeat for Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening would see the Catalans crowned champions for the eighth time in the last 11 years.
Alavés is currently sitting at eight position just below the final Europa League spot. They were genuine contenders for a top-four finish less than a month ago but with two loses and a draw in the last three games, Barcelona might get a win comfortably.
Barcelona with no major injury concerns and Champions League semi-final coming, Valverde may chose to rotate his squad. Barcelona barely beating Real Sociedad 2-1 at the Camp Nou and not playing quality football might be a slight concern for the supporters. Leo Messi will be the key players behind Barcelona’s success this season.

Leo Messi has been performing brilliantly, with 33 goals and 13 assists already this season. He has taken 5.73 shots and 14.87 key passes per 90 minutes.
Alavés have won only two games at home since the start of 2019 and none of the last five games at the Mendizorrotza Stadium.
Barcelona are unbeaten in La Liga since last November.
Possible starting XI: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Vidal; Coutinho, Dembele, Suarez.
