Philipp Max : The left-back to look for ?

When you hear Bundesliga, you think of the teams like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Shalke 04 etc. We're sure FC Augsburg isn't your preference and we don't blame you.
Based in Swabian Bavaria, FC Augsberg play in WWK Arena which holds around 30,000 people. They currently sit in the 11th position in Bundesliga 1 with 40 points after 31 games. Goals this season have mainly come from strikers Alfreð Finnbogason and Michael Gregoritsch for Augsburg but leftback Philipp Max is the one who really caught the eye.
The 24-yr-old German leftback has had 12 assists and 1 goal from the leftback spot. A 13 goal contribution after 31 games. Playing for a midtable Bundesliga side this German has the most number of assists in the league this season ahead of superstars like James Rodriguez, Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze.
With amazing crossing and set-piece ability, this leftback may be due of a big move this summer.
Max makes more tackles and blocks per game than famed leftbacks like Marcos Alonso, Ashley Young and Alex Sandro with numbers of 2.1 and 0.2 respectively. He also has an amazing first touch and his ball control is up there with the best.
With an amazing 2.4 key pasess per game more than the likes of Marcelo( 2), Jordi Alba(1) and Alex Sandro(1), Philipp Max could be a superstar at a big club in future. In a summer when big clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool will be in the look out for left-backs, Philipp Max should be one of the names in their transfer lists.
