Niko Kovac might have signed a pre contract agreement with FC Bayern as next year's head coach but his visit to his future workplace with Eintracht Frankfurt was not pleasant enough as the visitors lost 4-1 to a Bayern side that made eight changes from their regular starting eleven.

Considering the fact that, the Bundesliga champions need to overturn a 2-1 defeat to Madrid in the Champions league next Tuesday, to keep the treble hopes alive, Jupp Heynckes rested most of his regulars giving an opportunity for few youngsters to stand out. The Allianz Arena saw three teen debutants with Bayern Munich II captain Niklas Dorsch alongside Meritan Shabani and Frank Evina sharing the senior squad for the first time with Lukas Mai, who made his debut a match earlier.

Bayern Munich made the fields by their trademark 4-1-4-1 formation with Mats Hummels wearing the Captain's armband for the first time. He alongside Kimmich, Mai and Bernat built the defensive line for the day where as Sebastian Rudy stood right there in the defensive mid. Corentin Tolisso and Evina started off on the wings with Dorsch and Shabani taking control of the center with Sandro Wagner staying lone upfront.

Niklas Dorsch opened the scorecard for Bayern just before the break. Wagner timely followed a through by Hummels and set up a perfect sitter for Dorsch resulting to his debut Bundesliga goal. Frankfurt though dominated the possession, got plenty of chances to level back in the first half but was defied by Sven Ulreich in multiple occasions. The second half saw a more defensive gameplay from both the sides and the deadlock finally broke in the 76th minute when Rudy assisted Wagner to his 12th goal of this season. Just two minutes later into the game, substitute Sebastien Haller pulled one back for Frankfurt, in a sudden counter against the play. But it was a matter of moments when Bayern slowly took grip over the match in the last quarters and the super subs Rafinha and Niklas Sule sealed the tie scoring two clinicals past Hradecky in last three minutes to full time.

Marco Fabian probably got the best chance in the game for Frankfurt in the 84th minute with an open net right up infront but failed to convert shooting far wide of the target.

So even after a good start to the season, Eintracht Frankfurt stands 7th in the Bundesliga table at 46 points with five loses in last six matches where as league champions Bayern Munich stand tall at the top with 81 points, 24 points clear of second positioned Schalke after 32 rounds of game weeks. Bayern and Frankfurt are to meet once again for the last time in this season at the DFB Pokal finals on 19th of May.
